Note that there is no big difference between the Red and Blue version. - My cousin will be adding things for the Blue Version that may be missing from the Red. So if something is different in Blue he will give it to me. ****************************************** II. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) ****************************************** Q. What exactly is Pokemon? A. Pokemon is a game that focuses on collecting and training 150 different monsters. Q. I've heard that there are different versions of Pokemon, how many are there? A. There are 6 Game Boy versions to Pokemon. The first to come out was the Red and Green version. The Blue version was released as a special mail in offer. The Yellow version has you start off with Pikachu and fighting Jessie and James from the cartoon. The sequels, Gold and Silver are also coming soon. Q. What version are released in America? A. The Blue and Red version. Q. Is there any difference between them? A. Yes, for example in the Blue version you will not find any Ekans while in the Red you will be able to capture a Ekan and vice versa. They also have a different rarity. I will classify them as many, few, one, or none. Q. Will there be a sequel? A. Yes. There will be a Silver and Gold version. So far the only thing known is that there are at least 250 different Pokemon! Q. Is there an N64 version? A. Yes, it is called Pokemon Stadium. It comes with the 64GB Pak. It allows you to transmit your monsters from the Gameboy to the N64 and battle it out with someone else. Q. Is it true that there are more than 150 monsters? A. Yes, there is at least 151 Pokemon and it is Mew. I'm not sure how to get him, but when I do I will put it in the FAQ. Q. How do you do the e in Pokemon? A. Hold alt and press 0233. ****************************************** III. Walkthrough ****************************************** %%%Pallet Town & Route 1%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Pallet Town: # 01 Bulbasuar- one found in both # 04 Chrmander- one found in both # 07 Squirlte- one found in both Treasure found in Pallet Town: Town Map Pokemon found in Route 1: # 16 Pidgey- many in both # 19 Rattata- many in both (Note: I used Ash and Gary for the names.) You start the game in your bedroom. There is a computer here. Get a potion from it. It will help in the next battle. Now leave the town, Professor Oak will stop you. He will bring you to his lab and give you a Pokemon. You can choose Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Choose any you wish but I suggest Bulbasuar, he will get you through the beginning of the game a little easier. Get your Pokemon and leave. Gary will then challenge you. (Note: Odds are in his favor, because he always chooses a Pokemon that is stronger than yours.) Beat Gary to get some cash, if not, return to your mom and have her heal your Pokemon. Now head to Route 1. Route 1 has two Pokemon, Pidgey and Rattata. You need a Poke Ball to capture them, which you don't have. For now let your Pokemon fight to gain a few levels. If your Pokemon is injured return to your mom to heal. Now head to Viridian City. %%%Viridian City & Route 22%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 22: # 19 Rattata- many in both # 21 Spearow- few in both # 29 Nidoran (F)- few in red, none in blue # 32 Nidoran (M)- many in red, none in blue Treasures found along Route 22: TM 27 TM 42 Viridian City has a Poke Center, gym, Poke Mart, and a man behind a bush. (You get TM 42 from him.) Use the Poke Center to heal, gather info, trade, and access the computers. The top is Someone's PC (Note: It will change to Bill's PC later). It lets you store and retrieve any Pokemon you've caught. The second is your PC, and the third is Professor Oak's PC. Goto the Poke Mart. Talk to the person at the counter and she will give you a package. Go back to Pallet Town and give the package to Professor Oak. He will give you a Pokedex. This will help you learn about the Pokemon you've seen, caught, data, and where they are found. Also get a Town Map from Gary's sister. Go back to the Poke Mart. Buy some Poke Balls. Head to Route 1 to catch Rattata and Pidgey. To do this beat them until their life is low, and use a Poke Ball on them. If they are weak enough you will catch them and they will be yours.(You can only have six Pokemon at a time, if you have six and catch another it will goto Bill's PC.) To the left of Viridian City is Route 22, and the Pokemon League. You can't enter without any badges so goto Route 2. %%%Route 2 & Viridian Forest%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 2: # 10 Caterpie- few in Red, many in Blue # 13 Weedle- many in Red, few in Blue # 16 Pidgey- many found in both # 19 Rattata- many found in both # 122 Mr. Mime- one in both Treasures found along Route 2: HP UP Moon Stone Pokemon found in Viridian Forest: # 10 Caterpie- few in Red, many in Blue # 11 Metapod- few in Red, many in Blue # 13 Weedle- many in Red, few in Blue # 14 Kakuna- many in Red, few in Blue # 25 Pikachu- few found in both Treasures found along Viridian Forest: Antidote Poke Ball Potion Route 2 is short. Just head north. Before you enter I suggest to buy some Antidotes. You will meet other trainers here. Trainers are the only way to get money, so fight every one you see. Trainers also give you more experience than you normally get from fighting a wild Pokemon. Leave the forest and head towards Pewter City. %%%Pewter City%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Treasure found in Pewter City: Old Amber TM 34 This town has a Museum, gym, Poke Center, and a Poke Mart. Restock your items and rest. Gain a few levels before entering the gym. If you wish goto the Museum. When you're ready enter the gym to face Brock. There is another trainer, but he shouldn't give you much trouble. Beat him and heal if you must, if not go and face Brock. Brock has two Pokemon. Geodude at Lv12 and an Onix at Lv14. Beat Brock to get the Boulderbadge and TM34. This increases the power of your Pokemon. When you're ready head to Route 3. %%%Route 3 & Mt. Moon%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 3: # 16 Pidgey- many in both # 21 Spearow- many in both # 39 Jigglypuff- few in both # 129 Magikarp- one in both Pokemon found in Mt. Moon: # 35 Clefairy- few in both # 41 Zubat- many in both # 46 Paras- few in both # 74 Geodude- few in both Treasures found in Mt. Moon: Escape Rope HP UP Moon Stone x2 Potion x2 Rare Candy TM 01 TM 12 Dome Fossil Helix Fossil This route is a level gainer. Near the end of Route 3 is a Poke Center and Mt. Moon. A guy in the Poke Center will sell you a Magikarp, don't buy it. While in Mt. Moon you will see Team Rocket. They have some of the stronger Pokemon in the game so take caution when facing them. You will also find the Dome and Helix fossils. You can only choose one, so choose wisely. The Helix gives you Omanyte and the Dome gives you Kabuto. You get them later in the game. Also before you reach the fossils, there is a little road that leads to a dead end. Search around there to get a Moon Stone. Exit Mt. Moon and you will be in Route 4. %%%Route 4 & Cerulean City%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 4: # 19 Rattata- many in both # 21 Spearow- few in both # 23 Ekans- few in red, none in blue # 27 Sandshrew- few in blue, none in red Treasures found in Route 4: TM 04 Pokemon found along Cerulean City: # 124 Jynx- traded in both versions Treasures found in Cerulean City: Bicycle TM 11 TM 28 Route 4 is a simple route. Head east and you will reach Cerulean City. (Note: If you enter Cerulean, you can't return. If you missed anything or you want to catch any Pokemon you missed do it now.) Cerulean City has a Poke Mart, Poke Center, gym, and a Bike Shop. The bike is 1,000,000, so you won't be buying this soon. In one of the houses a guy will trade a Poliwrath for a Jynx. Poliwraths are found by evolving them from Poliwhirl. Poliwhirl are found in the water. Get a rod and start fishing. If you head north of town, you will hit Route 24. Be warned Gary challenges you here. Save before you fight, or build up. The house in the upper right corner is the only way out of town. But a cop is blocking you. To make him move you must beat the gym leader. The gym leader is Misty, and she has two Pokemon. Staryu at Lv18 and Starmie at Lv21. They are water type so build Pokemon that are strong against water. Beat her and you will receive the Cascadebadge and TM 11. This badge assures that Pokemon at Lv30 and below will obey you. Rest and head to Route 24, and face Gary if you haven't. %%%Route 24 & 25%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 24 & 25: # 10 Caterpie- few in red, many in blue # 11 Metapod- few in red, many in blue # 13 Weedle- many in red, few in blue # 14 Kakuna- many in red, few in blue # 16 Pidgey- few in both # 43 Oddish- few in red, none in blue # 63 Abra- few in both # 69 Bellsprout- none in red, few in blue Treasure found along Route 24 & 25: TM 19 TM 45 Route 24 & 25 is another level gaining area. Before you enter Route 24 a few trainers are in the way. You will have to face 5 trainers and one Team Rocket member. Beat them all for a Nugget. Sell this for money. After you hit the end of Route 25 you will see a cottage. Inside is Bill the Pokemon guy. He asks for your help. Help him to get a SS ANNE TICKET. After you get the ticket leave and re- enter. Check his computer to learn about Eevee and its evolution. When you are done head back to Cerulean City. Now go to the house that was blocked by a cop. Go inside to see what happened. Go out the hole to fight a Team Rocket member. Beat him to get TM 28. Now head to Route 5. %%%Route 5 & Route 6%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 5 and 6: # 16 Pidgey- many in both # 29 Nidoran (F)- one in both # 43 Oddish- few in red, none in blue # 52 Mewoth- none in red, few in blue # 56 Mankey- few in red, none in blue # 69 Bellsprout- none in red, few in blue Route 5 has nothing except new Pokemon and a Daycare Center. Here Pokemon can gain levels without you gaining them up. You can't choose what skills it learns and if you want it to evolve or not. Head to the building to the East. If you go through the center, you can't pass. Also someone in here will trade you a Nidoran (F) for a Nidoran (M). You will be in Route 6 after going through the pass. Only a few trainers and the same Pokemon from Route 5, are in Route 6 so don't spend much time here. %%%Vermilion City & SS Anne%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Vermilion City: # 83 Farfetch'd- only one found in both Treasures found in Vermillion City: Bike Voucher Old Rod TM 24 Treasures found in the SS Anne: HM 01 TM O8 TM 44 Ether Great Ball Max Ether Max Potion Rare Candy You will be in Vermilion City for a while so build up before heading on. The gym is blocked by a bush, so you need to find a way to cut it. The Captain of the SS Anne has HM 01 which will teach a Pokemon Cut. You should have gotten the ticket from Bill, if you didn't go get it. Go to the house in the upper left. A guy will give you the old rod. This lets you catch some Water Pokemon. Goto the houses above the gym. The house to the left is the Pokemon Fan Club. Talk to the guy on the couch and he will give you a Bike Voucher. Take this to Cerulean City and get a bike for free! The house to the right will trade a Farfetch'd for a Fearow. When you are done head to the SS Anne. The SS Anne is full of trainers and treasures. Wander around the ship, fight, and get the treasures. Gary is also on the ship, and stops you from reaching the Captain. Beat Gary and get HM 01 from the Captain. (Note: If you get HM 01 and leave the ship, the ship will sail off. Be sure to collect the treasures, and fight all the trainers.) Use HM 01 on a Pokemon that can learn it. Cut the bush that was blocking the gym. The gym has a little puzzle. The switch is placed at random, so I can't tell you where it is. But, when you find one switch the next switch is right next to it. Unlock the doors and head to Lt. Surge. Lt. Surge has three electric Pokemon. Voltorb at Lv21, Pikachu at Lv18, and Raichu at Lv24. Defeat Lt. Surge to get a TM 24 and the Thunderbadge. This increases the speed of your Pokemon a little. Now head to Route 11. %%%Route 11 & Diglett's Cave%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 11: # 21 Spearow- many in both # 23 Ekans- many in red, none in blue # 27 Sandshrew- none in red, many in blue # 96 Drowzee- few in both Pokemon found in Diglett's Cave: # 50 Diglett- many in both # 51 Dugtrio- few in both Treasures found along Route 11: Itemfinder Treasures found along Route 2: HM 05 HP UP Moon Stone Route 11 has one new Pokemon and some trainers. When you reach the end of Route 11, a Snorlax blocks you. You can't do a thing now so head to Diglett's Cave. If you have 30 Pokemon with you enter the building at the end of Route 11. Professor Oak's aide will give you an Itemfinder. If you don't have 30 come back when you do. This is the only place to find Diglett, so catch one now. If you are lucky you can even get a Dugtrio, but if you don't just evolve your Diglett. When you reach the end you will find yourself at Viridian Forest. Bring a Pokemon with the Cut ability. In one of the houses Professor Oak's aide has HM 05. You need 10 Pokemon before he will give it to you, but you should have way more than 10. Also someone will trade an Abra for Mr. Mime. When you are done head back to Cerulean City. Head East to Route 9. %%%Route 9, 10 & The Rock Tunnel%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Route 9 & 10: # 19 Rattata- many in both # 21 Spearow- many in both # 23 Ekans- many in red, none in blue # 27 Sandshrew- none in red, many in blue # 100 Voltorb- many in both Treasure found along Route 9 TM 30 Pokemon found in The Rock Tunnel: # 41 Zubat- many in both # 66 Machop- few in both # 74 Geodude- few in both # 95 Onix- few in both Route 9 and 10 are your basic routes. You will see a Poke Center near the end. Heal up and head into the Rock Tunnel. The tunnel will be pitched black so use HM 05 on a Pokemon to light the area. After you exit Rock Tunnel head south to Lavender Town. %%%Lavender Town, Route 7, & 8%%%%%%%%%%%% Treasures found in Lavender Town: Poke Flute Pokemon found in Route 7: # 16 Pidgey- few in both # 37 Vulpix- none in red, few in blue # 43 Oddish- few in red, none in blue # 52 Mewoth- none in red, few in blue # 56 Mankey- few in red, none in blue # 58 Growlithe- few in red, none in blue # 69 Bellsprout- none in red, few in blue Pokemon found in Route 8: # 16 Pidgey- few in both # 23 Ekans- few in red, none in blue # 27 Sandshrew- none in red, few in blue # 37 Vulpix- none in red, few in blue # 52 Mewoth- none in red, few in blue # 56 Mankey- few in red, none in blue # 58 Growlithe- few in red, none in blue Lavender Town is the home of dead Pokemon. They souls rest in Pokemon Tower. If you go into the tower you will meet plenty of ghosts, which you cannot identify. You must come back later in order to catch these ghosts. For now head to Route 8. At the end of Route 8 is another tollbooth which you will not be able to pass. So you will have to take the underground passage again. When you come out of the pass you will be in Route 7. From here head on to Celadon City. %%%Celadon City & Game Corner%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in the Game Corner: # 30 Nidorina- 1,200 coins in red # 33 Nidorino- 1,200 coins in blue # 35 Clefairy- 500 coins in red, 750 in blue # 63 Abra- 180 coins in red, 120 in blue # 123 Scyther- 5,500 coins in red # 127 Pinsir- 2,500 coins in blue # 133 Eevee- one in both # 137 Porygon- 9,999 coins in red, 6,500 in blue # 147 Dratini- 2,800 coins in red, 4,600 in blue Treasures Found in Celadon City: Diploma TM 13 TM 18 TM 21 TM 41 TM 48 TM 49 Treasures Found in Game Corner: Escape Rope HP UP Hyper Potion Iron Lift Key Moon Stone Nugget Rare Candy Silph Scope Super Potion TM 02 TM 07 TM 10 Celadon City is huge. It has the biggest Poke Mart ever, and many other things that will keep you coming back here for awhile. First head to the building in the north. Goto the one in the middle and learn various things about Pokemon. Now find a way to the back of this building. In the back a guy will give you an Eevee. Eevee can be evolved into 3 different types of Pokemon depending on what stone you use on it. A Fire Stone will give you Flareon, a Water Stone gives you Vaporeon, and a Thunder Stone gives you Jolteon. Now head to the Poke Mart. Talk to all the people at the counter to receive some free TM's. Also on the 4th floor, be sure to buy a Poke Doll. Now head to the top floor. There a girl will tell you she is thirsty. Buy 2 Fresh Waters, 1 Soda Pop, and 1 Lemonade. Give her one of each to receive some TM's from her. Now goto the buildings down south. Goto the bar and talk to that guy in the corner. He will give you a coin case. Now head either to the gym or to the center of town to the Game Corner. I suggest going to the game corner first. In the game corner you can play slots to earn TM's and Pokemon. The only thing you should be playing for is Porygon. The others you can find elsewhere. In the game corner there is a Team Rocket member blocking a switch. Beat him and press the switch. A hidden staircase will appear go down it. You will be in the secret base of Team Rocket. You need to find a lift key in order to reach the boss of Team Rocket. It is on the fourth basement. Go down and defeat the boss to receive the Silph Scope. With this you can know identify ghost and capture them. Now head to the gym. The leader there is Erika. She has a Victreebel at Lv.29, Tangela at Lv.24, and Vileplume at Lv.29. When you defeat her you will get the Rainbow Badge and TM 21. With this badge all Pokemon at Lv.50 and below will obey you. Now head back to Lavender Town. %%%Pokemon Tower%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Pokemon Tower: # 92 Gastly- many in both # 93 Haunter- few in both # 104 Cubone- few in both Treasures found in Pokemon Tower: Awakening Escape Rope Ether HP UP Nugget Rare Candy X Accuracy With the Silph Scope in hand head to the Pokemon Tower. You will be able to identify and capture ghost Pokemon now. On the second floor you will meet Gary. He will challenge you to another fight. Beat him and keep heading up the tower. Try to make it to the 4th floor. If you do you will be able to heal without using items or heading back to the Poke Center. When you reach the 6th floor a Marowak. I don't think you can capture it, so don't waste your Poke Balls on it. On the 7th floor you will see Mr. Fuji being bothered by Team Rocket. Beat them, and goto Mr. Fuji's home. He will give you a Poke Flute, which allows you to wake up sleeping Pokemon. Now head towards Saffron City. %%%Saffron City & Silph Co.%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Pokemon found in Saffron City: # 106 Hitmonlee- one in both # 107 Hitmonchan- one in both Treasures found in Saffron City: TM 29 TM 31 TM 46 Pokemon found in Silph Co.: # 131 Lapras- one in both Treasures found in Silph Co.: Calcium Carbos Card Key Escape Rope Full Heal HP UP Hyper Potion Master Ball Max Revive Protein Rare Candy TM 03 TM 09 TM 26 TM 36 X Accuracy Saffron City is another base for Team Rocket. A lot of the buildings will be blocked by Team Rocket. You have to beat their leader in order to make all of them leave. In the mean time visit all the houses that you can enter. One guy will give you a TM. Also be sure to visit the Fighting gym. You will not win a badge here, but you will receive a rare Pokemon. Beat the gym leader and he will reward you with either a Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan. Take any that you wish. Now when you are ready head to the Silph Co. located right in the center of town. When you enter the Silph Co. head straight to the fifth floor. Grab the card key there and head to the ninth floor. A lady there will heal your Pokemon saving you the trip of heading back in and out of the building. Now wander through the building gathering the treasures and fighting the other trainers. If you want to beat this part head to the third floor. Open the door to the left, and enter the warp tile. You will end up on the seventh floor. Gary will appear here and challenge you. Defeat him to head on. Also the guy that was watching you battle will give you a Lapras. Now keep heading forward. Beat Team Rocket's leader, and talk to the guy on the couch. He will give you a Master Ball. Save this for later on. Now that the entire town is open to you head to the house in the upper-left. A girl here copies everything you do. Give her a Poke Doll and she will give you TM 31. Now head to the gym that was being blocked. Here you have to navigate you way through some warp tiles to reach her. When you do reach her she will have four Pokemon. Kadabra at Lv.38, Mr. Mime at Lv.37, Venomoth at Lv.38 and Alakazam at Lv.43. Defeat them all to receive TM 46 and the Marsh Badge. All TM 20 With everything out of the way head to Route 12. Use the Poke Flute you got from Mr. Fuji to wake the sleeping Snorlax. It is quite difficult to catch him, but if you do not manage to catch him here there is another place to catch a Snorlax. Near the end of Route 12 is a fisherman's house. You will probably have to make a few trips in order to get all the treasures and catch all the Pokemon they have there. The most important thing you need is the Gold Teeth and HM 03. HM 03 will let you be able to cross waters and reach areas that you may have not been able to reach before. The HM 03 is located at the very end of the Safari Zone. You will need to get there before your time runs out though. Also the Gold Teeth is nearby as well. Now head to the warden's house. Give him the teeth and you will get HM 04, which will teach your Pokemon the strength ability. Also be sure to head to the gym. The leader there is a guy named Koga. He has four poison type Pokemon. Koffing at Lv.37, Muk at Lv.39, Koffing at Lv.37, and Weezing at Lv.43. There are invisible walls all over the place, so you may have to stumble your way through in order to find your way. Defeat Koga and you will receive the Soul Badge along with TM 06. With this badge the defense of your Pokemon will increase. When you are done head west to Route 18. You can catch another Snorlax here if you did not manage to catch one before, also with the HM 02 you can now travel to any town you have visited instantly. You this to travel back to Cerulean City. Head to Route 9 and use Surf. You will now be able to enter the Power Plant. Entering the Power Plant you will see many treasures lying around. Some are disguised Voltorb and Electrode. Also in the Power Plant you will see the rare bird Zapdos. You will only have one chance to catch it, so be sure to save before you fight him. The best way I have found to catch Zapdos is to weaken him down quite a bit, and then use a skill that can stop Zapdos from attacking. Sleep, paralyze and freeze have been known to stop Zapdos. This also makes it much easier to catch him. This place used to be a research center for Pokemon but was destroyed. As you search the area, you will also learn things about Mewtwo and Mew. Once you have found the key, head over to the gym. Also there is a hidden Moon Stone on the first floor. Look behind the third block in the right for it. The gym will also be blocked each step of the way. You can either defeat the trainers or go up to the machine and test your knowledge of Pokemon. When you reach the end you will meet Blaine. He has four fire type Pokemon. Growlithe at Lv.42, Ponyta at Lv.40, Rapidash at Lv.42, and Arcanine at Lv.47. Defeat him to receive the Volcano Badge and TM 38. With this badge your Pokemon's special attack will increase. As long as you have all the badges, he should not bother you much. As you reach the end of Route 23, you will enter Victory Road. Victory Road is filled with some of the greatest trainers in the world. You will need a Pokemon with Strength to get your way through this maze. Also in Victory Road is another legendary bird, Moltres. You should use just about the same tactics you used against the other birds. When you finally exit Victory Road head up to the Indigo Plateau and prepare for your greatest challenge yet. %%%Indigo Plateau%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Entering the building above the Indigo Plateau. This will be the last shop before you take on the Elite Four. Buy a few heals and revives, you are really going to need them. Once you begin the challenge against the Elite Four, you will not be able to go back out. You need to assemble a well balanced team in order to beat the Elite Four. You will need to counter mainly Ice, Fighting, Ghost, and Dragon type Pokemon. Once you have assembled this team head off to face the first of the Elite Four Lorelei. Lorelei has Ice type Pokemon at her command. A Dewgong at Lv.54, Cloyster at Lv.53, Slowbro at Lv.54, Jynx at Lv.56, and Lapras at Lv.56 make up Loreli's team. Next is Bruno. He has two Onixes one at Lv.53 and the other at Lv.56, plus Hitmonchan and Hitnomlee at Lv.55 and finally a Machamp at Lv.58. Next is Agatha. She has two Gengars one at Lv.56 and the other at Lv.60, plus a Golbat at Lv.56, Haunter at Lv.55 and an Arbok at Lv.58. Finally you will meet Lance the Dragon trainer. He has a Gyarados at Lv.58, two Dragonair each at Lv.56, an Aerodactyl at Lv.60 and finally a Dragonite at Lv.62. If you finally manage to beat all four you will have one more challenge ahead of you, before you become the greatest Pokemon trainer in the world. Gary will be your final challenge. His team will vary depending on what Pokemon he has chosen for himself. His first half will consist of a Pidgeot at Lv.61, a Alakazam at Lv.59 and a Rhydon at Lv.61. If he chose Bulbasaur you will fight Gyarados at Lv.61, Arcanine at Lv.63 and Venusaur at Lv.65. If he chose Charmander you will fight Exegguctor at Lv.61, Gyrados at Lv.63 and then Charizard at Lv.65. And finally if he choose Squirtle you will face Arcanine at Lv.61, Exegguctor at Lv.63 and Blastoise at Lv.65. Note that if you did not beat the Elite Four and Gary you will not be able to enter the cave. In this cave live some of the strongest Pokemon you have ever seen. But if you managed to make it to the very bottom of the cave you will meet Mewtwo. He is probably the strongest Pokemon that ever lived. If you still have the Master Ball use it on him. If you do not you are going to have a tough time defeating him. ****************************************** IV. Pokedex ****************************************** Pokemon evolve as they gain levels. Some, like Pikachu, must use a special stone to evolve into Raichu. Others, such as Haunter must be traded in order to evolve into Gengar. Also note that all Pokemon are different. For example two Abras are different even though they are on the same level. You can also stop your Pokemon from evolving by pressing B as it evolves. Why would you want to stop a Pokemon from evolving? Well if you do they will learn their skills faster. But the downside of this is that the Pokemon you stop from evolving will end up being weaker. Even when you let him evolve he will still be weaker than normal. As for the Pokemon that evolve with the stones, if you evolve them early they will end up stronger, but will not learn any of their natural skills. If you do it later they learn their skills be will end up being weaker. Stuff ****************************************** Game Genie code to get Mew: (I do not have a Game Genie to test this out, so I'm not sure if it works.) 151-91A-7FC 151-93A-F7E B91-9BA-6EB Gameshark Code for Mew: The code for Mew is 0115D8CF (Don't have a Gameshark either. So I can't confirm) Seafoam Island Glitch: There is a spot near Seafoam Island, right at the coast, that regenerates the last area of Pokemon that you fought. Sometimes, it glitches and sends out Missingno. Missingno.: There is a glitch called MISSINGNO. , it is on Cinnibar. First trade a Venonat for Tangela or any other Pokemon in the lab then surf on the coast/water to the right if you surf right next to the gym on half land-half water tiles, you will fight MISSINGNO. who is no. 000. Also another way to get MissingNo. is to trade between The Japanese and American versions of Pokemon. *Note: The Missingno code has been know to wreck your Hall of Fame, and wreck things that have to do with the Game Link, graphic errors, and many other things to your game. Be careful when trying this code out. 108 Master Ball Code: This trick will actually work with any item. Do the Missingno. code above. Put the item you want duplicated in the 6th slot of your item list. When the battle with Missingno. is over you should end up with a 108 of whatever item you chose. Level 100+ Code: First go to Viridian City and talk to the Old Man. Then fly to Cinnabar Island and on east coast and you'll run into a Lv.100 plus Pokemon. The problem.....once he levels up he reverts to Lv.100. * Also note that the 5th item in your list also seems to duplicate when you do this. Cutting Grass: You can use the cut ability to cut the grass. Use can use this to avoid fights or just for fun. ****************************************** VIII.
